Archive for Art is built by the team behind SmART Digital, which has developed and maintained archiving software for cultural institutions for around fifteen years.
Where we come from
Archive for Art grows out of SmART Digital, a Novi Sad company that has spent around fifteen years building archival database software for museums, galleries and archives. Most of our clients are long-standing partners who renew their licenses year after year.
That long relationship taught us how collection work actually happens: registers that must never lose an entry, loans that depend on a single missing document, and conservation histories that have to survive staff changes. Archive for Art is the next generation of that work: a modern platform for collection, loan and conservation management that keeps the rigour of archival practice and removes the spreadsheet work around it.
Alongside software, our team has delivered IT solutions for cultural institutions, from websites to network infrastructure, so we understand the technical environments institutions actually work in.
